Legacy Portraits

Legacy portraits are the kinds of photos you frame and hang on your wall like the piece of fine art that it is.

The look and feel of your legacy portrait can be whatever you like -- glamourous, dramatic, fashion forward, or humorous. All are all encouraged.

Studio Sessions

Once considered the gold standard for family photography, studio portraits fell out of favor in the 90's as trends shifted away from the mall photo studios of Sears, Glamour Shots, and others.

Now another couple decades later, trends are once again shifting away from whimsical outdoor family shoots in the park, farm field, or beach.

A new generation is now asking for more serious heirloom photos photographed by a professional. With everyone having a phone and AI at their disposal, the art and craft of studio photography is gaining new attention as a reaction to the quick cell phone snaps, heavy digital filters, and AI generated content.

Children

Children grow up fast.

Heirloom portraits of your children will be treasured for generations, long after the thousands of cell phone snapshots on your phone are gone.

Inspired by painting

My studio portraits are intended to have a painterly feel too them, much like a fine art painted portrait.

Using hand painted canvas backdrops and soft directional light, the result is something special.

Couples

Couples of all ages make great subjects for studio portraits.

Engaged couples can do something different from the typical engagement session with a styled photo shoot that reflects their interests and personalities.

Working with me

  1. Get in touch
  2. The first step is to get in touch to see if we're a good fit. We can chat about the feel of your brand, some initial ideas, and a timeline.

  3. Plan
  4. The next step is to get together for a planning session, which can be done remotely. We'll cover logistics, wardrobe, and styling so that we're meeting the goals outlined in the first step.

  5. Shoot
  6. The day of the shoot begins with a short touch base to make sure we're still on the same page, followed by the actual photography.

I'll make sure you look great while also calming any nerves by directing you through the entire session.

  7. Review
  8. The final step is to get together in person to select your images.

I can help you pick the ones that will fit the best for where you intend to use them, such as your website, marketing collateral or social media.
